1. Simplify
2. Use Inverse Operations to get the n alone.
3. Check your answer with substitution.
n/23 = 7             simplify 23 = 8
n/8 = 7             inverse of ÷ 8 is * 8
8n/8 = 7 * 8  
n = 56
56 ÷ 8 = 7             substitute 56 for n
n = 56
